Thailand restaurant in Jakarta: CJ Tom Yum

Heard about this recommended Thai restaurant in Jakarta from a friend whose office located only few meters away from CJ Tom Yum. Really wanted to try this resto, but its location is so far away from my office, so it will never be our option to have lunch. Until one day I had a meeting near CJ Tom Yum, so we stopped by before our meeting.

CJ Tom Yum located in a residential area, its exterior will help you to find this Thai restaurant among the houses. During lunch time, it was difficult to find seat and parking place.

"CJ" derives from the owner Chicco Jerikho, one of Indonesian celebrity. He opened this resto in July 2011, and it is said that the chef at CJ comes from Thailand.

Now let's see what we had ordered for our lunch that day. Of course we ordered their Tom Yum, it taste real Thai:)

Tom Yum Seafood

Their other signature dish is the steam fish, and for me this sour fish taste even better than the Tom Yum.

A crunchy fried shrimp was also recommended, and their chicken in pandan leave is also a must have. Too bad I didn't take picture of the chicken.

CJ Tom Yum is a recommended place if you are looking for an authentic Thailand restaurant in Jakarta. This resto is not that cheap, but also not as expensive as those fancy Thai restaurants.

Due to the limited space, it is recommended to reserve your seat if you are planning to have dinner or lunch at CJ Tom Yum.

  3. Waaaaw. Saya penggemar berat masakan Thailand.

    1. Wohoo serius Kak ke Bangkok hanya untuk wiskul...that is cooolll ! hahahahha

Harganya lumayan Kak, waktu itu kami per orang sekitar Rp 75 ribu ya, karena memang kami pesan yg signature dish nya (baca: lebih malah dari menu lain jadinya). Tapi puas kok, puas menyalurkan kangen ama masakan Thailand di Jakarta:)
