Clueless of where we should stay in Gili Trawangan for our very first family holiday to the island, I opted reading the travellers' review on tripadvisor. It led me to Jali Resort, one of the choice having many positive reviews.
I reserved the room via booking dot com, after a phone call I made to Jali Resort asking whether we could stay with our Kiddos in one room. The owner explained via phone that they will provide an extra bed with no additional cost, and that the price we paid will be including breakfast for four person. Yeay!
I reserved the room accordingly and really happy with our stay at Jali Resort.

Jali Resort is Located In A Quiet Area of Gili Trawangan
Location was one of our main concern when choosing a place to stay at Gili Trawangan. We wanted to stay in a distance from the area full of bars. And Jali Resort was perfect.
It was not that far from the beach, easy to get food (we ordered food mainly from Jali Kitchen), and the surrounding was very quiet.

From the port, we took Cidomo to Jali Resort which cost us IDR 100,000. We only took Cidomo twice, when we arrived and also when we checked out. Other than that, we utilized the free bikes provided.

Jali Resort Provide Free Bikes
Gili Trawangan only allows Cidomo and bike on the island. Staying at a resort which provides free bikes for the staying guests was crucial.
We explored the island on bike, Kiddos#2 could not ride his own bike back then, so he sit at the back of mr.husband's bike. Jali Resort provides bike for adults as well as for kids.

Jali Resort Has Its Famous Jali Kitchen
You may browse the recommended restaurant in Gili Trawangan, and I bet you will find Jali Kitchen on the top of the list.
Jali Kitchen was only few meters away from our room. Mostly we ordered food while we were enjoying the pool, in the morning and also for lunch. Most of the time we went out for dinner, as Jali Kitchen was always full especially at dinner time.
The breakfast was also served by Jali Kitchen, and it was sooo good!

One day, I ordered their Chicken Wrap for our lunch by the pool, and it was my fave food at Jali Kitchen.

My only complaint, which I had informed the owner as well, was about the coffee. They did not provide good coffee, and even the owner admit it. I think next time staying at Jali, we would take our V60 brewing equipment along:D
Jali Resort Has A Great Swimming Pool
Yup, the best part of the pool at Jali Resort was that: it has always been empty all the time. So we had it mostly for ourselves.

Jali Resort Has Beautiful Rooms For The Guests
The rooms at Jali Resort was not fancy but it was clean and homey. The bathroom was a half open space, which caused good smell from the kitchen, as our room was located just next to the kitchen:D

I left Jali Resort with a sad feeling, just like leaving my own family. The staffs were really great, they made every guests felt at home :) Hope to be able to stay once again at Jali Resort.
