Ikea Alexandra Road and Anchor Point

Another must visit place in Singapore? Of course Ikea, as we still don't have it here in Indonesia. We read review that it has a great food court as well, so beside window shopping at Ikea we wanted also to try their food court. We went to Ikea from Clarke Quay station using bus 33. Actually it stops in front of Ikea, but as we were not sure where to stop (and we did not ask either), we stopped at two bus stops before Ikea:p So we had to walk passing all those automotive dealers. Quiet interesting though. By the way there are two Ikea in Singapore, the one we visited is one in Alexandra road. The food court is so lovely to be seen from outside.

We went directly to the food court and it was really on lunch time. So we had to queue quiet long.

The most fave food is the sweden ball but it contains pork. They separate the counters though, so we choose from the halal section. We tried their pasta, salmon and chicken wings. For dessert we tried that dark chocolate cakes.

After choosing our food, we went to the cashier, picked up the glass and cup for our drink, and help ourselves with the drink. By the way, I like their tray. Actually I have never seen this kind of tray before:p
I must say the food is quiet expensive, we had to pay SGD 18 for our food and drink. The taste is also so so, but still it's ikea:p So we paid not only for our food but also for the whole experience.

We went to Ikea, bought some stuffs for our kitchen, than we decided to cross the road and went to Anchor Point, a mall which just accross the road. Ikea is linked to Anchor Point with a bridge on their 2nd floor. Before reaching the bridge, we found playground for the kids. So you may leave your kids playing while you are shopping.

Than we arrived in the Anchor Point, the mall which famous for Factory Outlet of some brand including Charles&Keith, Cotton On, Hush Puppies and some other brands. I bought two pairs of sandals in CK, cost only around SGD 20!! Wowwww. Not all stuffs sold here is cheap. So you have to carefully select the hot items here. We also went to Cotton On and bought shirts and sandals four our boys. Guess Anchor Point will be our other must visit place when visiting Singapore next time.
