As we were waiting for our 9 pm flight to Palu from Makassar, our friends in Makassar took us to see the beautiful sunset at Akkarena Beach before going to the airport. Makassar traffic is becoming very hectic (at least compared to my previous visit in 2010:p) especially after office hours, when people are rushing back home. Alhamdulillah, we made it on time for the sunset at Akkarena beach.
Akkarena beach located only 5 minutes away from Trans Studio Makassar. It's located at Tanjung Bunga, at the coastal side of the city. There weren't many people on the day we went to Akkarena beach. So I couldn't tell you if there is any water sports activity around the area. However we saw many trucks on our right side and also a bridge on our left side.
Do not mixed up the name of "Tanjung Bunga" with "Tanjung Bira", the second one is located about 6 hours away from Makasar, a very beautiful place, and it is in our bucketlist already:)
