If you are looking for a family friendly hotel in Jogjakarta, you can have a look at Artotel Jogjakarta. I found this hotel through Traveloka, and when I saw the slide in their lobby, I thought it will be an awesome experience for our Kiddos. And so it was, we took the slide from M level to the lobby over and over again.
The hotel's concept is very unique, it collaborates with local artist to display their art at the hotel. From the lobby to the room, you can enjoy beautiful paintings on the wall. And all of them made the hotel looks really attractive.

Let's Start With The Slide :)
As I mentioned above, the slide was my WOW factor when I found this hotel. I told our Kiddos about the slide at the hotel beforehand. And on our arrival, we tried the slide right away.
And on the next morning. And every time we went out:D Yes it was the highlight of our stay at Artotel Jogjakarta.

The Studio Room
There are three types of the room: Studio 23, Studio 25 and Studio 41. Please note that the number indicates the room size. With our Kiddos growing so fast, off course we choose the largest room. The price was about IDR 1,500,000 including breakfast for two person.
It came with a living area and sofa and a separate bedroom. Ohh we loved our room so much!

And the bathroom was very large and has a great design. It has a direct access to the bedroom area as well as to the living room area. And not too mention it has a closet room too for our clothes and luggage.
In one word: impressive!
And there's a coffee machine inside our room. How cool is that!

The Breakfast & Pool Area
Our room came with a breakfast, and we had to pay IDR 50,000 for one child, which I think a very reasonable price. The breakfast area was also so lovely with great art on the wall.
The part that Artotel Jogjakarta disappoint me was the pool area. It is located just outside the breakfast area, with smoking people around the pool.
I think Artotel has to improve this. It was not healthy at all to swim around people who smoke.
And one more thing, the pool is too close with the tables. So with one move, the water will spill out from the pool and make the dining area (and the people) wet.

The Lobby
Beside the slide, there's another art in the lobby which was really interesting. It was a huge rocking chair. You should try it!
There's also a small art exhibition at the lobby and merchandise sold from the local artists.

The overall experience was excellent, and the hotel is surrounded by food. It was really easy to get something to eat around the hotel, including the famous Tempo Gelato. This hotel is recommended.
