Aloft Hotel Jakarta Review: A Great hotel For Family Weekend Staycation

We knew Aloft from our stay at Aloft Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and really wanted to check out their first hotel in Jakarta, which is located on Jalan Wahid Hasyim (near Thamrin street).

After a while, we had the chance to stay at Aloft Hotel Jakarta, and from the moment we stepped inside their lobby, we just loved it. We love the smell, spacious and their industrial design lobby.

Not to mention, because there are pool table and soccer table for our kiddos to play while waiting our room.

The Lobby

Compared to the one in Kuala Lumpur, the lobby of Aloft Hotel Jakarta is more funky and lovely. The most impressive part was the murals, where they have drawing of Jakarta's icon like Ondel-Ondel and Kerak Telor seller (food street).

And they also have a bajaj on the top of the lift.

On top of everything, the smell of the lobby is so fresh. Loved it!

The lobby is very minimalist, however they also provide seating area, with futuristic and eye catching sofa.

The Room

We booked a superior room (yes, of course the cheapest room available:p), and been upgraded to their urban room. Which is larger, has the sliding door from the bathroom and they even provide us a kid camp.

Our room's view was also special, with Monas view though it looks tiny.

Could you spot mr.husband busy taking picture of the room?:p

Hello there Monas :)
Thanks for the welcome snack, Aloft!

The Swimming Pool & GYM

This is the dissappointing part of the hotel: the swimming pool. Well Aloft Hotel Kuala Lumpur's highlight for us was the pool, but not the one in Jakarta. Don't expect too much, however our Kiddos still tried to swim once. And they said the water is way too cold.

There's also a gym area at Aloft Hotel Wahid Hasyim, but we choose to run at Sudirman-Thamrin's car free day, the next morning.

The Bar

Yeah, the same bar as the one in Kuala Lumpur, Aloft Hotel Jakarta has the WYZ bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Didn't order anything from the bar though, but the sofa at WYZ was so photogenic (and yes I am thinking where can I get this kind of sofa).

***

Overall it was a nice stay for the whole family. I hope to see the next hotel of Aloft (they are building another one on TB Simatupang street by the way) with better pool compared to the one on Jalan Wahid Hasyim.
