This was my first time ever visiting Pasar Seni or the Central Market of Kuala Lumpur, and I must say that this place is very photogenic! I often alight at Pasar Seni LRT only to visit the Petaling Street Night Market, but never been to this place before.
To reach the Pasar Seni was easy, after alighting from LRT, just follow the sign of "Pasar Seni" and after 5 minutes walking from the station, you will find this blue building.
When I entered the building, it was very colorful with all of those souvenir shops. So lovely. The market is air conditioned, so you will enjoy shopping Malaysia's souvenir here. I didn't really compare the price though, maybe it's a slightly more expensive than souvenirs in the Petaling Street Night Market.
I went outside the market where I also found souvenir stalls. But it was too hot outside, so we preferred to explore the inside part of the market.
I took this below pictures from the 2nd floor, it's a very clean and neat market indeed.
There were special name for each of the aisles, and the items sold in those aisles represent its name.
If you are looking for a comfortable shopping place for Malaysia's souvenirs in Kuala Lumpur, I would recommend visiting this Pasar Seni. But if you prefer the cheaper place, you better shop at the Petaling Street Night Market. Check out at their website whether they have special performance on the date of your next visit to Pasar Seni. Too bad there was no performance when we visited the central market.
