Stayed there more than a year ago and I haven't posted my review on Graha Cakra Malang. They say it's better late than never, so I would like to post my review on one of the old style hotel in Malang. This is the front look of the hotel.
Outside the hotel, it has a lovely park which belongs to the hotel.
When you stepped into the hotel, you will feel its colonial style. Even the hotel staff wear old Dutch style uniform. Rooms are located in the kind of small garden lane. The standard room I stayed in was small. I didn't like the room, though overall I like this hotel. Too bad I didn't take the picture of my room.
And the dining area is also decorated in an old Dutch style. The breakfast was good with varieties of Indonesian traditional cakes,
It has a swimming pool, but too bad I didn't use it while I was there.
Location wise, the hotel is very central. It is near many cafes so you will not find any difficulties to find food. However, having stayed at Merbabu Guest House, I would rather choose Merbabu than staying at Graha Cakra. For me Graha Cakra feels really spooky:p But it was only my feeling, I didn't see "anything" during my stay hehe..
