Armor Kopi Bandung : A Coffee Shop Inside a Forest

Planning another weekend getaway in Bandung, and wondering what's another place that is "must visit" in Bandung? One of the most famous and most "instagramable" place is probably this coffee shop inside a forest in Dago Area (Taman Hutan Raya Djuanda), called Armor Kopi Bandung.

I've heard about Armor Kopi Bandung so many times, but as it was too far away from my house in Bandung. I postponed my visit until last weekend, when we had a chance to stay at Padma Hotel Bandung. Waiting for our check-in time, we stopped first at Armor Kopi Bandung.

Armor Kopi opened at 8 am on Saturday, so it was perfect for morning people like us, who usually arrive in Bandung at 7.30 whenever we spend a weekend in Bandung. A fresh air and greenery welcomed us as we stepped into Taman Hutan Raya Djuanda. Entrance fee was IDR 10,000 per person and IDR 14,000 for the car, which was paid at the entrance gate of Taman Hutan Raya Djuanda.

A perfect place to start your weekend in Bandung

Nara Deer Park - Day Trip From Kyoto

Nara Deer Park which is easily accessed from Kyoto was on the top of our Japan's itinerary. Going to a temple having hundreds of deers will be awesome for our Kiddos' experience.

We decided to do a day trip from Kyoto, and as we had learned that we could take a train from JR Inari Station to Nara, we planned to go to Nara after our visit to Fushimi Inari.

I told mr.husband that from what I read, we should not take a local train from Kyoto to Nara, as it will be stopping in 21 stations, and add a 25 minutes extra to our journey to Nara.

Belitung On Budget: 2 Days 1 Night For IDR 550,000

It started when I and my friends had lunch at Yoshinoya located near our office. Out of nowhere, my friends talked about celebrating one year anniversary of our Singapore trip. Of course, the next question was: "When and where will our next weekend getaway be?"

Belitung came across our discussion, and everyone agreed that Belitung will be our next destination! During our lunch, we checked the airline ticket on any weekend in February 2016. A return ticket was IDR 750,000 per person at the end of February. Not bad at all! Especially for me, I redeem my Garuda Miles, so I only paid Citilink ticket Jakarta-Belitung for IDR 350,000 and tax+surcharge on my Garuda Belitung-Jakarta ticket for IDR 130,000.

Our 2 days 1 night in Belitung cost IDR 550,000 per person. It includes: van hire for two days, boat hire, snorkeling gears, lunch at Pulau Kepayang, tips for driver, tips for the boatman and a one night bed and breakfast. The more the merrier, and of course cheaper! Our group consist of 12 person, and we shared most of our expenses.

One and a half month after our lunch at Yoshinoya, we were in Belitung :)
