We were confused of where we were going to stay in Bali for our Idul Fitri holiday (Sept), actually we had booked Casa Bidadari at Seminyak which cost us IDR 750,000 nett/night for four adults and two children, including breakfast. Quite cheap right? But we were not sure of staying at Casa Bidadari as it is not located in a walking distance to the beach.
Then we heard about Indonesian hotel promo at airasiago. We checked the website and ending up with an online reservation for Tune Hotel Legian Double Six for two double rooms including 12 hours of aircon per day, total three nights, and it was only for IDR 1,000,000 nett. How can a hotel cost that cheap?! Have we chosen the right hotel?! After the on line reservation, we keep on reading reviews on the net, asking friends...
So finally we said to ourselves, ok let's try this hotel. Actually why we were not sure was because we were traveling with our parents and also our kiddos for the first time!
This is going to be a full review of the hotel and also full of pictures, so for those having the same worries like we had, believe me you don't need to be worried. This review is how we thank Tune Legian Double Six for the promo and also the great nights we had spent at their hotel. We will be your loyal customer for sure!
The Challenging Road Heading to The Hotel
First, let's look on the tiny road heading to the hotel. This is the negative side of the hotel. Yes the hotel is not located on the busy street, so in the morning when people are waiting to be picked up by tour, the hotel and this tiny road becomes very hectic. If you drive yourself, you will need an advanced skill to pass this tiny road:p We rent Toyota Avanza when we stayed here, and it was big enough to pass the challenging road. So our tip is, if you are travelling with spouse or friends, better to rent motorcycle. The hotel rent motorcycle, and there were also places nearby the hotel which rent motorcycles. It cost IDR 50,000 per day.
Limited Parking Space
The parking here is also very limited. Around 10 cars only can fit the parking space. If we don't get the parking space, we can park on the Legian beach, but we have to pay around IDR 50,000 up to IDR 100,000 per night. What we did, we always come back early, the latest was at around 9 pm. And we succeed to get the parking space for all the three nights.
The Legian Beach
The Legian beach is really only 5 minutes walk from the hotel, I mean 5 minutes walk for us with the boys, for you it may be faster:p There is also a wash area for guest before entering the hotel when your feet is full of sands.
Es Teler 77 and Mini Mart inside the hotel
No need to be worried when you are starving, the hotel has Es Teler 77 behind the lobby, of course more expensive than the normal Es Teler 77. But the price is still considered ok. One thing to bear in mind, the Es Teler 77 staff take so much of your time waiting for the food to be served.
I would prefer having breakfast just outside the hotel. There are so many "warung" (little resto) around. So my tip: no need to buy breakfast when you do the on line reservation.
Mini Mart also inside the hotel, with slightly more expensive price of course
The rooms
You will get a room key, which is entitled for a deposit of IDR 15,000. On those room keys, the hotel will input what other extra you buy. We bought aircon 24 hours for our two first days, and add on another 12 hour aircon on the last day. We didn't buy the wifi, neither the hairdryer rental fee.
The rooms is so small, it fits a queen bed, and a clean bathroom. Beyond our expectation, they gave us two rooms with a connecting door!! Wooowww feels like in 5 stars hotel hahaha..Everything is so simple, clean, and very efficient. The King Koil bed and also the pillow is really comfy. We took picture to proof that it was a real King Koil:p
Eating Around The Hotel
Just go outside to the legian street, you will find Warung Melati, Warung Murah and also Pizza Marzano. So easy to find food around the hotel.
Sooooo enough reading our review...hurry book tune for your Bali's holiday. It is the best budget hotel in Bali...actually the best budget hotel I have ever been so far.
Thanks for all the staffs at Tune hotel, also thanks to AirAsia. Our Bali's holiday this time was using the free seats promo tickets and tune promo hotel!! You guys made our holiday really efficient. Two thumbs up!!
