IBIS Hotel Bugis

Unlike other Ibis hotel, Ibis Hotel Bugis in Singapore is quite an expensive hotel: my tiny room cost USD 150 per night, including breakfast. I didn't expect such a small room could be that expensive. I booked this hotel on a last minute, just one day before my departure to Singapore. I would like to stay on the green line MRT, I was looking for a hotel with a free wifi, and  the hotel that crossed my mind that day was Ibis.

Ibis Bugis has two entrance, I always thought that the entrance would be on Bencoolen street. But I was wrong, the main entrance was on the Bencoolen Link, facing the backside of South East Asia Hotel and Kwan Im temple. The taxi stand for Ibis was there, while on the Bencoolen Street side you may find a bus stop just outside the hotel.

From the bus stop on the Bencoolen Street you can go directly to Vivo City (by bus 166), to Orchard (by bus 65), and to Chinatown (by bus 147). It's handy to go by bus from the hotel, but to go back to the hotel either bus or MRT, I had to walk passing Bugis Village to the hotel, as the Bencoolen Street is a one way road. It took about 10 minutes from Opposite Bugis Junction Bus Stop to the hotel. It might take 15 minutes walk from Bugis MRT to the hotel.

The lobby area was compact, it has a computer station at the corner, and on the other side it has a cafe and a resto where I had my breakfast. The breakfast area was busy in the morning, the food was average.

I had a room with a view to Bencoolen Street, it's Ibis' standard: tiny and modern room. The fast and free wifi in the room and throughout the hotel was a plus.

If you'd like to stay close to Bugis Village, Ibis Hotel Bugis is only 5 minutes away. It's shopping time:D

Halal food is just minutes from the hotel, and even better it opens 24 hours. It is located on the Bencoolen Street, on the left side, opposite of the hotel.

It might be an optional hotel for you to stay in Singapore, but due to the limited space in the room, I don't think it's suitable to take our kiddos to this hotel.
