La Porchetta Grand Indo

We love Grand Indonesia mall for its food and of course because of the funworld section for our boys. We seldom go there, but once we go there, than we always try resto that we haven't tried before. This time we tried the La Porchetta, as it sounds, yes it is an italian resto, and the decoration is also really italian.For our boys' lunch, we ordered their penne carbonara and not only our boys who love it, but also both rene and me. It tastes really nice. The pasta cost IDR 40,000.We also tried their margarita pizza large size:p which cost IDR 45,000. For me the taste was not that special.And last but not least we ordered their chicken schnitzel, which also taste real good, but too bad it came with no steak sauce. Encore Pizza Sunset Road

Going to Bali with our kids, made us had to shop for our boys' milk on the first night we arrived in Bali. So we went to Carrefour Sunset Road, bought AW soup for our boys, and just beside AW they have this Encore Pizza.

From the menu I read that the Encore Pizza came from Australia. I haven't found it in Jakarta and Bandung before, so I was curious how the pizza would taste.

We ordered their chicken salad for the appetizer. It cost around IDR 30,000, and the salad is so fresh and taste sooo good.

Fashion Pasta Dago Pakar

Been to Dago Pakar lately, for sure you don't wanna miss this place, it's called Fashion Pasta where they serve real Italian food. It is located at Jalan Pakar Timur Dago Atas Bandung. If you go to Dago Pakar area, you will first find Sierra Cafe, just go up and up, than you will find Fashion Pasta on your left side. Inside is very romantic I might say. And the beautiful thing is, they have an outside kitchen, where we can see how they make our food. Really inspiring.

We tried their creamy fettucini..the size is so small (well, at least for me:p) but it taste real italian. The fetucine cooked al dente..yummy..The price for the pasta range from IDR 30,000 to IDR 40,000.

Than of course my fave margarita pizza. There are of course many varieties of pizza, but still my fave is only the margarita. The pizza range from IDR 30,000 to IDR 70,000. We also have it packed for our parents. And the pack is so cute..

Rene ordered a cup of coffee, and it looked really nice..

After all, we like this place, but I don't know because we are not italian or what..but for us this place is for one visit only. The food is not something that made us want to come back. Again..this is only our personal oppinion.

Pasta de Waraku Grand Indonesia

Yesss we love pasta so much, so any recommended place for pasta become a must visit place for us. Then we heard about this Pasta de Waraku, and how delicious the pasta is. So we visited one of their branch in Grand Indonesia.
No need to be confused in choosing the menu, we can directly see the sample hanging on their wall.We tried their korokoro tofu for the appetizer. It's a fried japanese tofu, and was a very good start, it cost IDR 22,000.Then we also ordered their pizza, very thin indeed, but tastes unique. We tried Pizza hotate prawn for IDR 56,000.
For the pasta, our mom wanted to have the original one, so we tried their meat bolognese for IDR 58,000. It came with a half boiled egg in the midle.

All the menu came in a very small portion, but very delicious. I would recommend this resto for its taste, but not for the price. So for us, it will be a one time visit, unless there's a special promo in this resto next time.

Warung Laos Cihampelas

One saturday night when we decided to have a date at Ciwalk to see My Name is Khan, it ended up with a dinner at Laos as we didn't succeed to get the ticket. The cafe was full, fortunately we still get a table for both of us (otherwise maybe we'll end up at warung ayam goreng just beside Laos:p).

Actually I don't like the atmosphere at the 2nd floor because I think it's too dark (if you eat here, make sure you sit on the 1st floor, the same floor as the kitchen). But it was paid up with the taste of the food we ordered that night. Rene ordered nasi goreng ikan asin...and yes it was very yummy!

I ordered margarita pizza, my fave when I eat italian pizza. The pizza is also very nice.Actually they also have pasta, lasagna, and their other special menu is sausage. But one pizza is enough for that night.

Rene also ordered orange float which is delicious.

Laos is not very expensive. The pizza we ordered cost IDR 30,000, and the nasi goreng is IDR 25,000. For the drinks it range between IDR 10,000 to IDR 20,000. You'll find so many pictures by Darwis Triadi inside Laos. The gossip is that he also one of the owners of this place. I don't know whether it's true or not:p All in all, it's a nice place to relax after you shop in Cihampelas area.

Magic Pizza Riau Junction

Riau Junction is our fave place to do the grocery shopping when we are in Bandung as it has the yogya dept store. Just last week we went there, we found a little corner selling pizza called magic pizza.




We can make and choose our own topping.. First off all we choose the pizza base: pan, thin or crispy and the sauce : tomato, carbonara and mushroom. It costs 28,000 for the pizza base, sauce, mozarella cheese, and three kind of vegetables. Than choose the topping: meat, sausage, chicken, peperoni, squid, prawn..each for IDR 12,500. If you would like to add more vegetable, than you have to pay IDR 1,000 for each additional veggie.

Voila...this is it our magic pizza:




The taste is so so for the pizza, considering the price, it's cheap and ok lah..
We also order the smoked beef panini and it tastes awesome..it costs IDR 15,000 with 20% discount. A great food to start our sunday morning in Bandung:)

Pizza Marzano

Another italian pizza in town yang udah bikin kita cinta mati: Pizza Marzano! Ada 3 outlet sampai tulisan ini dimuat, yaitu di senayan city (di dalem Debenhams), di Menteng dan di Kemang. Kita cuman baru nyoba yang di senayan city, soalnya kan bisa sekalian jalan-jalan. Tempatnya enaka banget dan berkesan ekslusif. Letaknya menghadap jalan Asia Afrika, jadi kalo dapet yang di pinggir jendela, enak bisa sekalian cuci mata.

Untuk pembuka kita mesen bruschetta, pikir bentuknya seperti yang di pizza hut. Ternyata beda jauh ya... Ini kaya roti pake sayuran seger, daging kalkun dan alpukat. Emang namanya juga Bruschetta Di Pollo E Avocado. Biar kita ga bisa bahasa itali, kata terakhirnya emang menunjukan menu ini mengandung alpukat. Harganya per porsi Rp 13.000, rotinya fresh banget, bener-bener cocok sebagai appetizer.

Selain itu, kita juga mesen one of chef’s recommended menu yaitu Baked Mushroom with Gorgonzola yang per porsinya Rp 21.000. Rasanya aneh, tapi enak deh. Apalagi dilengkapi dengan bubuk cabe kering yang disediain ama Pizza Marzano. Waah top banget! Sebenernya cabe kering itu yang jadi alasan kita selalu ingin kembali ke Pizza Marzano! Sayang yah ga ada foto cabe keringnya.

Untuk menu main course nya, my fave is Penne Carbonara Rp 55.000. Crème sauce nya itu uenak banget *aduh jadi kebayang deh enaknya pas lagi nulis review ini* Sama seperti menu yang lain, penne ini lebih enak kalo pake cabe kering…terus potongan smoked beef nya juga banyak, lengkap sudah deh.

Pizza nya ga tau yang enak yang mana, cuman setiap ke sana kita pesen Pizza Sloppy Giuseppe, yang ukuran large Rp 55.000, terdiri dari 6 slice.

Rasa pizza nya ga beda jauh sih dengan Izzi Pizza, tapi menu main curse lainnya itu lebih enak di sini. Harganya pun lebih reasonable di Pizza Marzanno, kecuali tentunya kalo Izzi discount lagi 75%.
Duuh sebelum laptop ini penuh dengan tetesan air liur, kayanya mesti di stop deh reviewnya. Ayo kita ganti baju dan langsung meluncur ke senayan city:p

Cafe Asix Bandung

Buat yang lagi jalan-jalan ke bandung dan pengen tempat yang murah meriah, coba deh makan di Cafe Asix di Jalan
Talaga Bodas Bandung (kalo susah nyari jalannya, pokoknya cuman 5 menit jalan kaki dari Batagor Riri). Tempatnya mungil dan sarat dengan nuansa kayu nan romantis. Tempat ini selalu rame banget pas weekend.

Makanan utamanya pizza italia yang tipis gitu, harga pizza nya Rp 25.ooo. Mereka bakar pizza di tungku, makanya rasanya jadi istimewa. Sambil nunggu pizza, cobain deh pangsix alias pangsit. Sebetulnya rasa pangsitnya sih biasa, tapi sambelnya itu loooh, wah enaaaak....Sebetulnya berbagai variasi nasi gorengnya juga patut diacungkan jempol (sayang kita waktu itu ga mesen jadi ga ada fotonya deh). My fave is nasi goreng cikur. Enaaaak buanget! Ada juga steak, sosis, dan kalo pagi mereka khusus jualan bubur ayam. Nah untuk minumnya, cobain yang namanya Sereh Ice Tea seharga Rp 9.ooo. Hmmm bener2 bikin seger deh.

Yang lucu juga dari Cafe Asix, setiap meja dilengkapi dengan mainan, waktu itu di meja kita ada ular tangga, jadi kita bisa nostalgia maen ular tangga sambil nunggu makanannya dateng.

Celebrating Bday at Izzi Pizza

13 has always been my lucky number, especially when it comes to 13 January..Behubung ga dikasih kado ama my hubby jadi kita celebrate berdua aja di Izzi Pizza daerah Menteng. Knapa Izzi Pizza? Karena lagi ada discount 50% dari bank competitor..hehe..even untuk birthday kita tetep aja nyari yang discounnt...hee..hee..

Dari kiri ke kanan:

1. Chicken Wing; harganya Rp 40.ooo an, isinya ada kali 6 potong, dan rasanya manteb..pedes, seger deh. Karena udah lama ga makan chicken wing (takut bisa munculin kista lagi soalnya), jadilah dari 8 potong ini, saya makan 75% nya dan rene cuman kebagian dikit:p

2. Pizza Salami; iyalah kalo ke Izzi Pizza mesti pesen Pizza. Dan yang mereka sajikan pizza itali gitu, tipis tapi topingnya tebel. Enaaaaak banget, apalagi when serve hot! Mmm kejunya mencair gitu in your mouth. Nyam nyam..Harganya untuk yang regular Rp 70.ooo an.

3. Baked Macaroni Cheese; dengan penuh rasa bersalah, akhirnya abis juga sih seporsi macaroni panggang ini. Soalnya kayanya kejunya banyak banget. Rasanya sih enak, terlalu enak mungkin. Tapi rasa bersalahnya tetep ga nutupin rasa enaknya. Kalo ke sini lagi ga akan mesen menu ini aah.."too heavy".

4. Udon; lupa lagi nama lengkapnya, tapi emang di Izzi ini ada asian food. Misalnya aja ada Tom Yam Soup (tapi jangan mesen yang ini karena rasanya terlalu asem), nah kita nyoba udon ini kmaren. Very recommended, biarpun bukan restoran Jepang, tapi rasanya ga kalah deh. Harganya 50.ooo an.

Mahal? Iya emang Izzi lumayan mahal..minumnya aja kita pesen Ice Lemon Tea yang free flow, satu gelasnya 22.ooo an. Dan harga semua yang tercantum di sini belun termasuk pajak yee.. Tapi dengan discount 50%, worth it banget apa yang kita bayar dan yang kita makan deh. After all it was a memorble lunch...

Café Asix Bandung

Located in Jalan Talaga Bodas Bandung (just beside hotel Harmony Inn 1), this cafe is one of our ‘must visit places’ in Bandung.

It’s small but cozy and serve variety of food at reasonable prices. Strating from 11 a.m. you can order Italian Pizza for IDR 25,000 large portion, variety of Fried Rice for IDR 15,000 and from 6 – 11 a.m they serve chicken porridge for IDR 8,000.

I love the pizza (they baked the pizza in a traditional way, as you may see from the picture), it comes with a very tasty Italian sauce, which makes the pizza difference than others. I also like the “Nasi Goreng Cikur” (one of the fried rice variety). For the
drink try “Sereh Ice Tea” and for the appetizer, try “Pangsix”. They also have steak, but I have never tried it there.
In each table, they provide games like ‘Ular tangga’, ‘Halma’etc. so we can play while waiting for our food to be served.
