Arriving at Queen Victoria Market, we passed the meat and
seafood section, the dairy section, and to the colorful section of fruits and vegetables.
Of course we also buy the traditional doughnuts cost AUD 1 per piece. Aaah how
we love this market!
The last section we went to was the clothing section, I was looking for cheap Australian souvenirs at the Queen Victoria Market.
We continued our journey by walking to the shopping malls area of Bourke street. Everyone were busy shopping for their Christmas gift. We
went inside Myer Dept Store, but we will wait until the Boxing day to do our
shopping:p We enjoyed some street musical performance, actually we could stay
on this street for hours, but we had many things to see.
After taking a nap at our hostel to recharge ourselves, we
continued exploring Melbourne with Melbournebikeshare. We found their website
when we were finalizing our itinerary, and we were interested. Moreover, our
hostel provide the helmets to be rented for free. We went to one of the
melbournebikshare station on the Flinders street, insert our credit card, paid
AUD 2,50 per bike for a daily rental, and use the bike for 30 minutes (up to 30
minutes is free). If we wish to continue the bike, we had to wait for 2
minutes, then insert our credit card again (no additional charge) for another
code to release the bike. We didn’t need to pay anything more, as long as we
keep cycling 30 minutes and find a melbournebikeshare station to lock our bike,
and start a new journey 2 minutes afterwards.
We started our bike journey along the Yara River heading to
the botanical garden. Ohhh it was beautiful Saturday afternoon. Many people
were having picnic with their family along the river. We stopped along the way
and change our direction to Docklands. We had to pass many cafes and crowd
along the Yara River, and we stopped at a melbournebikeshare station at the Southgate.
We continued rent the bike and passing the web bridge going to Docklands.
Arriving at Docklands, we found another melbournebikeshare
station, locked our bike, and enjoying sunset for a while at the Esplanade.
We went back to our hostel, spend sometime at the Federation
Square to take picture of the Flinders Station. We fell in love with Melbourne
right on our first visit.
